Sometimes they're so vague that it should actually be considered malpractice. They gave me an antibiotic for BV when I was pregnant and told me it would go away. They acted like BV was nothing to worry about. The doctors failed to tell me that it could come back and that the antibiotic would kill all the bacteria down there, making it more likely that it would come back. I learned about BV the hard way. 3 months after they gave me the antibiotic, I went into preterm labor and lost my baby (because the infection had come back and spread into my womb.)
